Clinic Update – New Psychotherapist Intern Stephanie Puscalau
Y.O.U.R. Therapy Clinic wants to share with the community a new psychotherapist intern! Steph is a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist and Intern from Yorkville University, completing her practicum.
Steph has work experience in the Attorney General Department and recently the Ministry of Youth Justice Division where she has learned the importance of confidentiality and precision to detail. Steph approaches therapy with the intent to provide a safe place for an individual to share their story, to show up in her authentic self thereby bringing comfortability to the therapeutic environment, and to provide a holistic lens when collaboratively developing a therapeutic plan to help the client develop their own self-awareness and build skills.
As an intern under the direct supervision of Amelia, Steph brings a blend of expertise and guidance to her practice. She believes in the power of focusing on what’s within our control by fostering self care techniques to help ground the individual while providing compassion to Self when mistakes are made. Steph uses her curiosity in the therapeutic process to help the client unpack what could be blocking them from reaching their goals.
